Welcome to Linda Elementary School!
Our staff is dedicated to the safety and education of all students. We work closely with parents, the community and each other to establish a caring partnership for the well being of our students. Our school environment is framed with three expectations; Be Safe - Be Responsible - Be Respectful. Our students develop a sense of belonging and competency in our school community. Our staff continually hones our skills through professional development and collaboration so that quality instruction is delivered. At Linda Elementary School we are "Committed to Excel through Respect, Responsibility, Safety and Academics." We have developed our collective commitments as a staff to ensure that our students receive all that they need to be successful.
Linda School will be continuing our Behavior and Expectation program again this year, PBIS, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support.
The purpose of this program is to inspire school spirit and academic success and safe, respectful and responsible behavior at Linda School. It is our desire to foster life long learners and good citizens.
The following reward procedures are in place at Linda School:
PAWS Slips -PAWS slips are given out when students are demonstrating our PBIS behavior expectations; Respectful, Responsible and Safe. The students can then place the slips in our PAWS cart. Once a week we will do a drawing and those with slips drawn get to pick a prize from a variety of options.
Discipline efforts are progressive. Meaning, we start with least restrictive consequences and as behaviors continues we add supports, and always emply restorative practices.
Trimester Rallies-These Rallies are held and the end of each trimester. Each teacher will recognize students for academic achievement, reaching reading goals, and several categories. Look for the invitations to come around report card time.
